Who this is for
Treetop is a private schedule-assistant used by the two parents of a single household who create the account. It is not a public, self-serve service and has no child-facing features.
What we collect
Account information: the names, email addresses, and mobile phone numbers of the two parents who set up the account.
Schedule information you give us: emails you forward, photos/screenshots you upload, and text you enter about your family's schedule (activities, school events, appointments), plus the names of the children whose schedules you track.
Calendar data: with your explicit Google authorization, the calendar events needed to build your family's schedule. Treetop only writes to calendars it creates ("Treetop · <name>"); it never modifies your personal calendars.
Delivery and reliability data: whether a brief or reminder was delivered, opened at the system level, and processed correctly — used to keep the service reliable, never to profile your personal behavior.
How we use it
We use this information solely to: build and deliver your family's schedule, morning briefs, and time-sensitive reminders; let both parents see the same plan; and operate and improve the reliability of the service. We do not use your information for advertising.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you opt in during account setup, we send SMS schedule reminders and brief-ready notifications to the mobile numbers of the two account owners. See our .
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties under any circumstances.
How we share it
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate Treetop (for example, cloud hosting, email/SMS delivery, and AI processing), strictly to provide the service and under confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
Raw forwarded emails and uploaded photos are retained for up to 180 days, then deleted.
Extracted schedule text and your plan are retained while your account is active.
You may request deletion of all household data at any time (the in-app "delete family" command removes your data from our database and storage and offers to remove the Treetop calendars); email us to confirm.
Your choices
Withdraw SMS consent any time by replying STOP or in account settings.
Disconnect Google Calendar access at any time in your Google Account settings.
Request access to or deletion of your data by emailing .
Children's privacy
Treetop is used only by parents. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information directly from children; the schedule information parents enter about their own children is treated as household data under this policy.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated effective date.
